Apothic Sparkling Red

Masterly crafted, unexpected refreshing, Apothic Sparkling Red is a limited edition sparkling wine with notes of bright cherry accented with hints of citrus and fresh sliced apple with a crisp finish.

Calcu Cabernet Franc

Winemaker Rodrigo Romero oversees the production of an exciting line of small production wines made for everyday drinking but yet far more interesting and distinctive than most in its category. Calcu, which means “healing doctor” in the local Mapuche language, was created to emphasize the diversity of Chile’s Colchagua Valley. The fruit is always a combination of the family’s estate fruit, and locally sourced, sustainable grapes from quality Colchagua growers.

The Cabernet Franc blends red fruit aromas with spicy touches of dark chocolate finishing with smooth, silky tannins. Pairs well with grilled food and tomato-based pasta. The grapes for this wine are 100% Cabernet Franc and come from a vineyard block planted in a privileged location between the Chimbarongo Creek and the Tinguiririca River on the Maquis Estate, in the heart of the Colchagua Valley.

Calcu Cabernet Sauvignon

This rich, velvety wine is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Carménère and 5% Petit Verdot. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes come from a block located at the foothills of the Andes at an altitude of 500 meters–one of the highest in altitude and closest in proximity to the Andes in the Colchagua Valley. The soil is deep, alluvial and well drained because of the stoney and gravelly composition. The Carménère and Petit Verdot come from the Maquis estate in the central part of Colchagua Valley. Twenty percent of the blend was aged for 9 months in third-use French oak barrels while the rest remains in stainless steel tanks.

Critical Acclaim
JS 91 - James Suckling
Freshly baked berry-pastry aromas with a wealth of ripe, fleshy plums on the palate here. The tannins are quite fresh and nicely defined.

TP 89 -Tasting Panel
Smooth with elements of tangy plum and spice; fresh, lush, and balanced with a lengthy finish.

Diora Chardonnay
Monterey, California

Named for the golden hills of the Santa Lucia Mountain Range that frames the family-owned San Bernabe Vineyard in Monterey, Diora is inspired from “d’Or,” the French phrase meaning “golden” and bestowed on beautiful, sun-filled regions. No effort has been spared along Diora’s 30-year journey from vineyard-to-bottle. The result is an expressive wine overflowing with flavor, depth and personality and a devotion to indulgence.

A beautiful, golden hue, the aromas of toasted oak mingle with light spice notes of cinnamon. The delicate flavors of vanilla bean give way to a lovely, soft and light buttery layer. This reminds one of a rich, yet delicate crème brûlée with a soft, round mouthfeel that will pair beautifully with lobster or sautéed scallops. The light acidity and long finish of this wine will also be a great accompaniment to a variety of dishes.

Justin Isosceles
Paso Robles, California

For more than 25 vintages, Isosceles has been Justin's flagship wine and quality benchmark for this style of wine here on the Central Coast of California. A blend based on Cabernet Sauvignon supported by Cabernet Franc and Merlot, Isosceles shows why Paso Robles is such a great place to grow these varieties. Full-bodied, with ripe black fruit, complex barrel spice and amazingly balanced structural elements right out of the gate, you can try a bottle or two upon release, but make sure to save a few to enjoy this wine as it continues to evolve after some time in the cellar.

Barrel aged for 21 months in 100% new French oak. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8 % Cabernet Franc, 7% Merlot.

Tasting Notes: Appearance: Dark ruby/purple core, lighter in color toward the rim. Moderate plus viscosity with slow forming, slightly stained tears.

Aroma: Highly aromatic with ripe black cherry and cassis fruit, vanilla and cinnamon spice with cedar, graphite, dried autumn leaf and licorice notes over an attractive toasted oak background.

Palate: Dry, full-bodied with ripe, complex black fruit of cherry and blackcurrants layered with baking spice on the entry. The mid palate has continuing ripe fruit with savory dried leaf elements, cedar, anise, camphor and a bit of cocoa surrounded with firm, chewy tannins and sweet spice notes that add complexity as the palate evolves. Sustained fruit, spice and savory elements mix through a very long, complex and fresh finish with lingering tannins. Isosceles is full-bodied, complex and balanced and pairs well with rich, full-flavored dishes. If you can, try cellaring some of your Isosceles to better experience the added complexity and finesse that only time can bring to this exceptional wine.

Knights Bridge Pont De Chevalier Chardonnay
Sonoma, California

Winemaker Notes: Aromatic hints of jasmine, pear, hay, spun sugar and honey drive the focus on this beautiful medium-bodied wine. Elegant flavors extend the finish with hints of apple and butterscotch.

Pair this balanced wine with wild salmon with fennel and caramelized vegetables, or a butter lettuce salad with poached pears and gorgonzola cheese.

Critical Acclaim
WS 92 - Wine Spectator
Delivers a rich array of pineapple, mango, fig and apricot flavors, giving this a distinctive flavor profile. For all the richness, this remains elegant and light-footed, ending with subtle oak shadings.

Knights Bridge Sauvignon Blanc
Napa Valley, California

Winemaker Notes: Cabernets are legendary. Knights Bridge bottling from this vineyard expresses aromatic impressions of dark red fruits, toffee, leather, and floral notes. A rich entry in the mouth with a long finish of vanilla, cassis, and sweet oak extend the lingering character of the varietal.

Many savory dishes would pair well with this abundant wine such as French cut Pork Chops rubbed with Fresh Herbs.

Critical Acclaim
JS 94 - James Suckling
Subtle aromas of currants and chocolate follow through to a medium body, firm and silky tannins and a pretty finish. Extremely well done.

Mullan Road Cellars Red Blend
Columbia Valley, Washington

A historically early start to the growing season was followed by a warmer-than-normal spring. Continued warm weather in early summer advanced vine development. Mid-to-late summer was especially warm, including 2-3 weeks with highs over 100 degrees. A mild fall allowed for full phenolic development in the grapes, resulting in fresh, flavorful wines with fine aging potential.

Pott Viognier Mont Veeder
Napa Valley, California

Pott " 20m3-Chateauneuf du Pott" Mount Veeder Viognier
From Aaron Pott's own estate high on Mount Veeder in Napa County.

Winery notes: "Bright acidity on the attack, honeydew, honeysuckle and honey, peach, full mid palate blending floral and fruit, with nice density balanced by bright acidity, finishes with peach, lychee, honeysuckle, pecorino and melon. The Viognier is entirely fermented and aged in Italian terra cotta amphorae, so it never sees oak or stainless steel. The amphorae are hand made in Tuscany by the Manetti family using the same clay pits that the Etruscans used for their pottery thousands of years ago. The Viognier is whole-cluster pressed and fermented using only its own indigenous (wild) yeasts. The name 20m3, or “Twenty Cubic Meters”, derives from the estimated amount of gold in the world. Aaron was so intrigued by this idea that he decided to use if as the name for the Viognier which is also precious, rare and golden colored."

Shooting Star Blue Franc Blaufrankisch
Washington State

"Unlike other Steele wines, Blue Franc receives very little oak aging. Some liken our Blue Franc, depending on vintage, to Pinot Noir in lighter years and Zinfandel in the riper vintages. Sometimes it is totally akin to a top-flight Gamay from Beaujolais. The wine is clean, crisp, and unpretentious with tons of fruit, including warm berry pie, traces of pepper, almond, cherry and cinnamon. Our Shooting Star Blue Franc has soft tannins, medium body, and is the perfect red wine to enjoy over the summer with any festive occasion. Blue Franc is excellent with cheeses like Raclette or Epoisse, but equally great with grilled meats and burgers. Try the Blue Franc with a toasted sandwich of smoked chicken, grilled onion, and avocado." - Winemaker

Bees Box Chardonnay

The Bees Box story began with a bee that grew to a swarm. Unsure of what to do with a swarm of bees on a property full of guests, they did what anyone would do – Googled it. And so, with a brand new bee suit, a Youtube video, and a glass of wine, set out to create their own bee’s box on the property to keep everyone safe – not least of all, the little pollinators who chose them as their home. They also became more aware of their plight (habitat loss, disease, and overuse of pesticides). Already passionate about all aspects of sustainability, they wanted to do something to help protect them. And so, Bee’s Box Wine was born. Great wines that give back 10% of the profits to organizations fighting to protect these little pollinators who have sustained us for so very long. So let’s fight the good fight together, glass of wine in hand, and say cheers to good food, fine wine, and our beautiful little pollinator friends.

Tasting Notes: Bee’s Box Chardonnay delivers a fragrant nose of ripe tropical fruits with pineapple, pears, and melon layered between tones of vanilla, roasted nuts, and mocha. The voluptuous palate offers a rich crème brulee texture where tantalizing flavors of fruit compote finish with an enticing blend of baking spices.

Freak Show Cabernet Sauvignon 4 Pack Cans

"Big and spicy, this full-bodied wine is plump, mouthfilling and packed with ripe fruit flavors. It has a rounded, soothing feel on the palate despite firm tannins, no doubt due to the extra-ripe plum, cherry and milk chocolate flavors that follow aromas of maple syrup, vanilla and cedar." 90 Points Wine Enthusiast, Editor's Choice

Gnarly Head 1924 Bourbon Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon
Lodi, California

Gnarly Head wines began with a vision and a vine. In 2004, on a mission to make a serious Zinfandel, their winemakers journeyed to Lodi in central California in search of the famed old vine Zinfandel vineyards. Grown in the head-trained, spur-pruned method for over a century, these vigorous gnarled vines produced more ripened red fruit than they had ever seen. They took it as a challenge to create the biggest, boldest Zinfandel they had ever made. The result was authentic, structured wines with a hint of something unexpected. Something Gnarly.

But Zinfandel is not the only grape that can be Gnarly. Their winemakers select grapes from some of the best vineyards in Northern California to produce wines in their Gnarly house style--big and juicy. These wines are the perfect complement to life's bold moments

Gnarly Head 1924 Double Black delivers rich aromas of blackberry preserves, cocoa, raspberry and caramel, setting the stage for a juicy core of concentrated, dense blackberry and fig jam flavors that finish with a hint of baking spice. Jet black in the glass, pair this full-bodied wine with equally bold dishes: charbroiled bacon cheeseburgers, spicy sausage gumbo or pork baby back ribs slathered in BBQ sauce.

Prairie Basic Becky Imperial Stout

An imperial stout from Prairie Artisan Ales that would feel right at home during Halloween is making the jump to bottles.

Basic Becky is an 11 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with allspice, caraway, cinnamon, cloves, coriander, nutmeg and pumpkins that will be brewed and packaged in 12-ounce bottles at Krebs Brewing Co. in Krebs, Okla. In an email, Zach Prichard, owner of Krebs Brewing, told Tenemu that the Basic Becky is made up of a brand new “bigger and thicker” base stout that has never been used before.

A stout with the same name was originally released as a draft-only option late last year, but that version came in at a slightly higher 13 percent ABV. 11% ABV

Saucony Creek Maple Mistress

In the autumn of 1720, Captain Jack Rachman and his pirate-mates were celebrating their victories in typical hard-drinking tradition. Suddenly a British Navy sloop surprised them. The drunken pirates hid below deck, leaving Captain Jack’s mistresses Anne Bonney and Mary Read to defend the ship. The women shared a reputation as “fierce hell cats,” but the British Navy eventually overtook the pirate ship. Captain Jack and the pirates were sentenced to hang. Anne visited her lover in his cell before his execution, and instead of loving words her scathing comments live on throughout history, “Had you fought like a man, you need not have been hang’d like a dog.” Their legacy inspired Saucony Creek to brew an equally ferocious Imperial Pumpkin Ale brewed with pirate rum spices. They added a touch of autumn flavor with roasted butternut squash and natural maple syrup. 9.8% ABV, 8 IBUs

Stone Xocoveza

Imperial stout inspired by Mexican Hot Chocolate. This is a beloved stout. When first introduced as a limited special collaboration release with San Diego homebrewer Chris Banker (after his recipe won Stone's annual homebrew competition) and Cerveceria Insurgente, it was an instant hit and fans began clamoring for its return. Seeing as how its amazing flavor profile is evocative of Mexican hot chocolate, featuring coffee, pasilla peppers, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and a generous amount of Stone's own in-house made chocolate, they concluded it was the perfect stout to re-release in celebration of the Holidays and the entire winter season. This is now a highly anticipated yearly tradition that they are pleased to present, and makes a perfect wintry gift from you to your friends, loved ones, or simply to yourself. Cheers!

Laws Four Grain Cognac Finish

Laws Whiskey House is a fiercely independent Colorado distillery committed to producing the highest quality whiskey using local ingredients. They are guided by three simple principles:  CRAFT OVER COMMODITY – QUALITY OVER QUANTITY – WHISKEY ABOVE ALL  Al Laws took concepts from paper in 2006, to production in 2011; in October 2014, Laws brought whiskey to glass, harvesting only when the whiskey said it was ready. Today the Laws team of dedicated craftsmen employ the same “no-compromise, no shortcuts” approach to making a growing family of high-quality, authentic, award-winning American whiskeys that capture the character of Colorado and the people that make it.

Crafted from all four of the “American mother grains”: corn, wheat, barley and rye. There aren’t many four grain bourbons on the market as they are very difficult to make. Laws utilizes a stepped cooking process — each grain variety requires a different cooking temperature to maximize its flavor and character. The grain requiring the most heat is milled in and cooked first; the temperature is then lowered gradually as we add the smaller flavor grains, and then complete the cooking process with the malts. This painstaking, 6.5 hour, labor-intensive process is critical to capturing the character and quality of each grain. During aging, they strive to create harmony between this complex whiskey and the vanilla and caramel notes from the newly charred, American white oak barrels to create a classic bourbon with Colorado character.
