Silver Totem Cabernet Sauvignon
Washington State

Washington State's volcanic and mineral driven soils create the ideal environment for Cabernet Sauvignon to develop its full aromatic potential. The consistently warm summers and cool evenings of the Pacific Northwest preserve the natural acidity of Cabernet and produces a solid tannic structure. The grapes are machine harvested with the latest Pellenc harvester technology guarantying that only perfect berries are picked. The grapes are then fermented in stainless steel tanks at the winery. The fermentation was conducted at high temperatures (85F) for a short period of time (7 to 10 days) to avoid extracting too many tannins. Half of the wine is then aged in oak barrels and the other half in tank for 14 month prior to bottling.

Tasting Notes
Color: Deep ruby red. Bouquet: Cherry, cedar and violet. Taste: Currant and blackberry.

Silver Totem Red Blend
Washington State

Silver Totem Red is a Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blend

The grapes for Silver Totem come from the premiere Horse Heaven Hills AVA. The grapes are machine harvested using the latest Pellenc harvester technology guaranteeing that only perfect berries are picked. Fermented in stainless steel tanks at high temperatures (90°F) for a short period of time and then cooled down to 82°F to avoid extracting too many tannins. The total time on the skin is 7 to 10 days. Half of the wine is aged in oak barrels and the other half is aged in tank for 20-24 months prior to bottling.

Tasting Notes:
Stunning structure and balance with flavors of currant and blackberry.

Broc Cellars Carignan Alexander Valley

Winemaker's Notes: We take the whole clusters and transfer them from bin into our 2 large concrete tanks. The berries remain intact and protected with a constant blanket of C02 until their native yeasts begin to ferment the grape sugars from the inside out. A slow mortification breaks down the color components in the skins, infusing the juice inside the still-unbroken berries with a vibrant red hue. When fully dry, it is pressed back into the concrete vessels for aging. Bottled after 6 months of aging. This wine shows the amazing depth of flavor from these rugged, ancient vines.

VITICULTURAL AREA: Having saved a remarkable ancient vineyard from imminent “Cabernetification”, they continue to nurture its 130+ year-old vines, capturing a character unfound in mere 120-year-old vineyards. An original field-planted block, these Carignan plants are interspersed with Palomino (white variety from Jerez), Zinfandel and Alicante (a rare black-fruited vine that produces some of the darkest juice on the planet). Its decomposed sandy soils make it impossible for the vine-pest phylloxera to survive, leaving these some of the last remaining self-rooted vines in the state.

All of the wines are made naturally, meaning no use of inoculated yeasts or bacteria. Broc Cellars uses only native yeast to spark fermentation. They do not add any powdered tannins or enzymes. A minimal dose of S02 is added 4 weeks before bottling to some wines.

Bex Riesling

The Nahe Valley, pronounced Nah-heh, is 25 miles south of the Mosel Valley in southwest Germany. Nahe is known for its mild climate, moderate rainfall and diverse soils yielding Riesling with finesse, light spiciness and attractive mineral highlights.

BEX Riesling offers the perfect balance between fruit and minerality. Medium-dry in style, BEX shows floral and citrus aromas followed by juicy flavors of white peach, apricot and Mandarin orange. BEX finishes with mineral and crisp citrus zest highlights.

Tenuta Di Arceno Chianti

This beautiful Chianti comes from some of the warmer, south-facing blocks at the Tenuta Di Areno estate. It is composed almost entirely of Sangiovese and spends one year in small French oak barrels. This is the epitome of modern Chianti with its dark color, pure fruit, balance, power and velvety tannins. The dominant flavors include violets, plums, cherries, orange peel, earth, licorice, cedar and smoke.

Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley, California

Savor classic Napa Valley Cabernets. Gather over innovative culinary delights. See how Freemark Abbey is 130 years strong… and flourishing.

Opaque, dark ruby color introduces this wine that expresses dark fruit aroma and flavors. With spicy sweet oak complexity, the wine exudes dark fruit such as blackberry, black currant, blueberry and dark cherry. There are nuances of dark chocolate, chocolate berry truffle dusted with cocoa powder, cola, aromatic cedar, cinnamon, clove, graham crackers and a hint of tobacco. The body is very full with a soft entry, coupled with dark cherry/berry flavors that develop from start to finish. With great texture and mouth feel, this Cabernet is full-bodied, rich and opulent. In one word… delicious.

Mothers Materfamilia
Imperial Stout

The beer called MILF is henceforth be known as Materfamilias.

The craft brewing industry is not static and breweries are constantly evolving. This is a big reason that US craft continues to lead the world in the future of beer. Your Mother’s is no exception.

That philosophy has led Mother's to make another change. Mother's barrel-aged imperial stout MILF will be getting a new name. Starting with the 2019 release, this coveted beer will be known as Materfamilias. Why would we make such a drastic change to a brand that has been a consistent winner over the course of our seven years?

The original name is based on the joke that likely needs no explanation. When we were a fledgling brewery, ‘MILF’ fit the irreverent stance we were introducing ourselves with. Over time, we've come to realize that what first seemed cheeky and funny no longer fits us or this beer. Nor does the name ‘MILF’ reflect the effort and devotion we put into making the liquid. This is our most time consuming and labor intensive beer. It’s the beer we choose as the fitting end to a perfect evening with friends and family. It is a beer that we will confidently put alongside any beer in the world. It deserves a name that reflects its pedigree.

Materfamilias is Latin for ‘female head of the house.’ No other beer we make commands as much attention and devotion as she. From the brewhouse to the barrels, your Mother’s remains at the service of this exquisite imperial stout. In the aging process, the beer’s interaction with the wood of bourbon, rye whiskey, rum, and brandy barrels dictates the composition of the final blend. Materfamilias cannot be rushed. It cannot be forced. It brooks no compromise. The result is a stout of such complexity and nuance that you, too, will recognize the authority of your Materfamilias.
