Masi Tupungato
Passo Doble
Rosso di Argentina

This award winning red wine is bursting with unusual aromatic richness, striking for its fruity intensity and light spiciness.

This is a modern wine made in an unconventional style from grapes produced on the Masi Tupungato La Arboleda estate at Mendoza in Argentina.

Not just the Malbec grape, but this wine is blended with Corvina Veronese. It gets its generous, strong and exuberant nature from the local Malbec grape, while Corvina Veronese, given a short Appassimento, gives it the typical attractiveness, elegance and friendliness of wine from the Veneto.

Fore Family Grenache Blanc
Lake County, California
Single Vineyard, Cobb Mountain

Using sustainable wine making techniques and keeping the business entirely in the family, the Fore Family creates quality boutique wines year after year. The Grenache Blanc is a unique wine that is as incredibly sophisticated as it is refreshing and flavorful. The perfect alternative to New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, this wine drinks magnificently well on its own and will also hold its on as the white wine of choice at any meal.

About the Winery:
Jim and Diane grew up in the Napa Valley and have a love for quality wines. Jim started making homemade wine in 1980 and planted his first small vineyard in 1987. This home winemaking lead him on the search for the highest quality fruit possible. That is where he was fortunate enough to meet Doug Hill. He was so impressed with Doug’s low yield, high quality vineyard philosophy that eventually quit his design engineering job and went to work for Yountville Equipment Company developing vineyards. In 1995 they formed a partnership, Fore-Hill Vineyards and currently farm about 60 acres in Napa. Jim located a mountain top property on Cobb Mountain in Lake County Red Hills and started Fore Family Vineyards in 2000 where he continue to implement those farming practices. ore Family vineyards goals are to continue to grow ultra premium wine grapes in a sustainable evergreen manner. They believe that great wine quality is achieved in the field and followed up with care in the cellar.

Tasting Notes:
Pale straw in color, a vibrant fresh nose suggests white peach, green apple and ripe honeydew, reined in by crisp mineral notes. Persistent flavors reflect the nose while great natural acidity sustains the palate finishing with a hint of anise.

New from Fiddlehead Cellars

Fiddlehead wines are place driven, vintage driven, textural and most satisfying. They are made from exquisitely farmed vineyards, planted to marry climate and place with varietal; they are hand harvested and field sorted in small sections and made with the utmost respect for traditional methods. Each vintage is crafted to highlight the greatest potential of each place, discriminating and selecting only the best.

The entire brand is designed to create focused wines of luscious texture, true to the varietal and devoted to sustainable farming and non-invasive winemaking.

Sauvignon Blanc from the warmer climate and Pinot Noir from their cool climates become perfect textural partners in our limited portfolio of wines. “More mature”, “more textural”, and “more stylish” define our more European focus in winemaking.

Fiddlehead Sauvignon Blanc
Happy Canyon

Fiddlehead’s signature, Loire-styled Sauvignon Blanc. This silky-textured wine illustrates the beauty of the blend and tames this varietal into amazing elegance: 1/3 fermented in stainless steel for bright aromatics and zinginess, 1/3 fermented in new French oak barrels for layered textures and persistent flavors and the final third fermented in neutral French oak barrels to achieve marriage and grace. A chic, less herbal style, with little hints of cloves (according to Maya in Sideways!). Intentionally given a few years of bottle age prior to release to assure a seamless entrance onto your palate. Named for both its style and its AVA source, Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara.  A very versatile crowd pleaser!

Fiddlehead Pinot Noir
Seven Twenty Eight

To recognize its "roots" and give reason to its personality, this wine purposefully bears its place name after the mile marker, 7.28, of Fiddlehead Estate Fiddlestix Vineyard, on Santa Rosa Road, which is smack dab in the middle of the glorious Sta. Rita Hills AVA and sandwiched by the Santa Rosa Hills to the south and the Santa Rita Hills to the north.

This wine reflects the cool climate influence on Fiddlestix fruit and is a blend of all six clones planted in this Vineyard.  The terroir always gives forth to great color, fabulous spicy aromatics, broad textures, a juicy mid-palate and sassy acidity, and produces a wine saturated with the essence of smoky, black cherry cola. It's incredibly true to Pinot Noir, true to its roots and always aged in the bottle prior to release for your ultimate enjoyment. Fiddlestix Vineyard delivers every time!

New Wines from Malvira, from Piedmont in the Roero, Italy

Roero is a geographical area in the north-east corner of the province of Cuneo in Piedmont, north-west Italy. The Roero region is especially interesting as the land and soil here has a rich and varied history. The district of Roero is approximately 350 km and contains 23 comunes or townships. The name Roero comes from the Conti-Roero family who lived the area in the 14th century, however, the identity of the territory dates back before the year 1000. Even before the year 1000 AD, the entire "Roero area" was completely covered by sea. This history gives us the sandy and calcareous soil that is found throughout the area. In fact, it’s quite common to see fossils poking their heads out of the many vineyard sites.

Try some of these Italian wines and get acquainted with varietals such as Roero Arneis, Brachetto Lungo, and Nebbiolo.

Arneis is a grape which originated in the hills of Roero in Piedmont Italy. It’s name means ‘little rascal’ as it is known to be difficult to grow. This ancient varietal is known to produce a dry full bodied, crisp, floral wine, with hints of apricot and pear.

Brachetto is another Piedmont varietal, known to produce light bodied wine with notes of strawberries.

Nebbiolo (pictured right) is a Piedmont grape variety that gets its name from the word ‘fog’, as it is often foggy during harvest time. Also the grapes get a foggy look to them when they are maturing. Nebbiolo grapes add a lot of tannins with flavors of violets, tar, herbs, cherries, raspberries, tobacco, truffles and prunes.

Malvira Late Harvest Roero Arneis Tinta

This bright straw yellow wine has a perfume of floral and fruits with minerals. The flavor profile includes fresh and fruity apples, citrus flint stone.

Malvira Roero Arneis Italy Made from 100% Roero Arneis grapes and harvested in September and aged in stainless steel tanks for 4-8 months. This wine is straw yellow in color with a perfume of fresh fruit and citrus and a refreshing and savory flavor profile.
